Raj restaurant in Chamberlayne road, Kensal green, only opened to dinners in May 2005, but already it has won national acclaim: Earlier this year Raj restaurant was named customer restaurant of the year by Best in Britain awards (BIBA). Readers of the real curry restaurant guide, menu magazine & www.menu 2 menu.com voted it best for everything from food to service. The dishes on the menu are created using only fresh ingredients from lacal suppliers, we also use organic spices. Specialities, which are exclusive to Raj include Goan fish:- fish cooked in fresh green chilli & coriander sauce, flavoured with coconut cream OR Chittagong chingri koudu: king prawns in a spicy sweet sauce with sweet pumpkin & spring onions. The restaurant seats upto 50 people & can be hired out for private parties, weddings OR birthdays. Raj in Indian means king. The owners of Raj chose the name because they felt it captured their desire to become the king of the curry houses. Customer includes Louis Therroux, several cast members of `the bill` & stars from `Eastenders`
