Definite thumbs down all around for Ahaar Restaurant- the prices were good, but the overall quality was poor - too much heat, not enough spice. The dishes (rogan josh, sri lankan prawn curry) were in a thin sauce, with lots of oil on the surface, and the prawns were the very very small kind, and had no flavour. The mutton rolls were so hot that I could not taste the rest of my meal. Worst of all was the wait time. I ordered at 10.30pm, and it was not after 90 mins and 2 phone calls that it finally arrived. Not planning to sit down to a large meal at midnight. The meal was delivered hot, but we were not impressed that there was no reason given or any apology for the delay - I spoke to the restaurant and had given them specific instructions on how to get to the house, but these were not passed onto the driver. This is the first time I have used this restaurant, and we won´t be doing so again, which is a shame, because the menu looked very tempting and could have been a new example of regional Indian food for us.
