Chat Massalla

Chat massala has been my local indian takeaway since it opened many years ago. Food is always freshly, well cooked and to a very high standard. The only criticism I have is that the spice of curries can depend on the chef who cooks it. I often eat a madras, which can vary quite drastically dependant on who´s cooked it.

I never usually write reviews, be it good or bad but I thought i´d make an exception... The food was of a very unsatisfactory standard. The poppadoms were soggy and stale. I ordered lamb for starter and it was dry, overcooked and was that tough it hurt my gums to chew. The rest of the meal was ok, but nothing special and definitely not good enough to make up for the awful starters. I spoke to a very nice man on the phone who offered us a discount next time we order from here, although with our first experience being such a bad one I can´t say there´ll be a next time, discount or not!!

Always use this takeaway, never let us down with quality food and service. Thanks
