Welcome to Samuel`s Chinese Takeaway
Food Gary Flockhart with the number of stylish eating establishments opening in leith these past few years, you are never left wanting for somewhere to dine out. As nice as that can be, sometimes there's nothing better than kicking back in your pants and socks with a good takeaway meal. Samuel's Chinese Takeaway on Po (land Place - just across from 0cean Terminal - opened less than a year ago, but it has already more than made its mark with the locals. This takeaway does exactly what it says 0n the tin. The service is beyond reproach, the food excellent and, just a s importantly, they don't keep you waiting long. Pop in any night of the week to order and you'll find your food will appear no more thn 10-15 minutes later. There is nothing overly spiced or with too much sauce here, just a good selection of dishes that will cheer any lover of oriental cuisine.

The menu is fairly extensive & includes the entire old favourites try the lemon chicken. Among its choices are a range of spicy Szechuan & milder Cantonese dishes alongside a selection of curries & omelettes to cater for western tastes. The takeaway also has excellent children’s menu younger ones that are perhaps still too afraid to try out other countries` delicacies. The starters range from aromatic crispy duck with a rich plum sauce to the flavoursome hot & sour soup. Samuel`s also has a small selection of dim sum, a range of light dishes served alongside Chinese tea with more than 12 years experience in customer service & ten in cookery, Samuel`s has expert staff on hand.
