The restaurant first declined my booking as it was too far to travel (despite my postcode being one they re listed as delivering to). They then accepted my order which was ordered for 7:30pm. It is now 9pm and it has still not arrived. An hour ago the restaurant told me it was on its way (obviously a lie) and now I can´t get through on the phone at all. Do NOT order from this restaurant would be my advice!

All aspects of the meal were cold. Nothing tasted fresh. We hadn´t ordered from Ashoka in a while, now we remember why. Terrible quality.

Ordered mid-evening on a Saturday and arrived within the hour. Food was excellent with the exception of the poppadoms which were damp and soft, rendering them inedible.

Shocking service, waited 2 hours for dinner, complained and was told I´d get a call back in 5 minutes...still waiting. And to top it off, the food was cold! Won´t be getting anything from here again and will be telling all my friends and clients not to use this place.

Food arrived over an hour late and was going cold. Staff on phone weren´t very helpful with timings when I phoned either. No appologies when it was eventually delivered.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!! We made an order (and paid!) online at 8.20, the website advised of delivery at 8.55, which seemed perfect. By 9.18, no sign of our delivery, so we called to ask when it was likely to arrive - we were told they had no record of it so it must be out. At 9.41 we still had no order - we phoned again and were advised it must be out, and that it would be with us shortly. By 9.54, still no delivery and so I called to ask the restaurant to phone the driver for an expected time, they assured me they would do so and call me back. 10.06 still no call, so I phoned to ask when it would arrive, I was told firstly that the driver had arrived 15 minutes ago and hadn´t been able to contact us (despite us standing by the window looking for the driver - who was nowhere to be seen!), then I was assured this was a mistake and the delivery had left the restaurant 15 minutes ago... We eventually got a delivery at 10.10, over an hour after we had been advised and part of it was missing, and it was cold!!! Phoned YET AGAIN, and excuses were made about the driver "always being late", and that my order would be rectified and the owner would find me "a couple of bottles of cider", how patronising. 20 minutes later I´m still waiting, and have heard nothing back from the Ashoka. Absolutely ridiculous - it´s a sunday night, not a friday!!!!

I must say they delivered on time but the food was not what I expected. I specifically asked them to make it spicy. All the items were sweetish and less salt. I had ordered lamb biryani which was awful. I am disappointed with the whole meal. We had to throw most of it..
