- LTS HAKEHake & 1/2 Chips Hake is a close relative of cod, offering a very similar mild, white, and flaky profile, making it an excellent, often more affordable alternative. While cod is firmer with large, distinct flakes, hake is more delicate, softer, and slightly sweeter. Texture: Hake has smaller flakes and is more tender/delicate than the firm, meaty texture of cod. Flavor: Both are mild, but hake is slightly sweeter, whereas cod has a slightly cleaner, more minerally taste.Hake & 1/2 Chips Hake is a close relative of cod, offering a very similar mild, white, and flaky profile, making it an excellent, often more affordable alternative.
