Potatoes were good, but the rest was mediocre except the sausages which were cheap and nasty (basically tinned hot dogs).

Dear Tristan, I cannot tell you how devastated we feel at cafe 290 as your score really goes against the grain of all our scores from a wide range of the people throughout Birmingham. I am a true believer in good customer service. I am here to provide all my guests and customers 100 percent satisfaction and would like to offer you a revisit to Cafe 290. The American breakfast is one of our best sellers and to date this is our first complaint against the product. Our food is halal and the sausages are from a reputable supplier, on the menu marked as beef sausage, grilled on a flat top and they are from a packet. Please feel free to call the cafe and we could discuss the menu and find a product more suitable for your pallet. Kind regards Cafe 290
