In pursuit of happy life of Peshawar city which they left behind. The owner Captain Azhar who was born and brought up in Peshawar city, gathered all the

aromas and recipes of historical Qissa Khawani bazaar and Namak Mandi along with his mother. They both created a fusion

with their very old family made recipes, mastering the art of Peshawari cuisine and creating an exceptionally unique culinary experience.

This family pride themselves to be the pioneers of Peshawari cuisine in United Kingdom by opening the first ever traditional Peshawari

Restaurant in Manor Park, East London and setting the trend In line with the famous hospitality of the proud Pathans of this region,

Peshawari Qahwa and sweet rice are served complimentary with every meal. The ambience and atmosphere at Khyber Pass restaurant derives

its roots from ancient nomadic tribal culture of mud huts with seating on the floor in very warm lighting.

Many conquerors of Indian subcontinent used this mountain pass connecting Pakistan and Afghanistan including Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan,

Mahmood Ghaznavi, Zaheer Uddin Babar followed by the British Empire, Russia and United States most recently. Historically it is called, The graveyard of Empires

because it has never been ruled by any invaders in recent known history. The secret of traditional cooking at Khyber Pass Restaurant lies in daily

selection of excellent quality meat by Captain and his team, with just a light touch of spices in which the meat does not submit its taste

to the spices. The distinctive flavour of food cannot be described by words alone, the only way is to experience it yourself in a relaxing

and friendly atmosphere, whether it is a date night or a night out with friends and family, Khyber Pass provides the perfect setting for

all occasions.

At Khyber Pass we do not pre-cook any

of our food and it is freshly prepared to order.

This is why we allow 20-30 minutes preparation time.
