We normally only use free-range eggs from chickens who have the freedom to roam outside. But the government has advised that all UK chickens are temporarily moved into barns to limit the spread of avian flu. So, although the farming is free-range, for now they can’t be called that. As soon as it is safe for them to roam free again, they will.
