Using locally sourced ingredients Uncle Monty’s offer family orientated dishes, with a nod to a guilt-free take away experience.  As professional chefs, who have travelled and worked around the world, Terry and James are trained in various cuisines and offer a restaurant experience delivered to your door.  Terry’s love of American food came about after locating his grandfather and family in Corinth, Mississippi.  After spending time with them he picked up on many of the authentic and traditional American flavours from the Deep South to the East Coast and of course the unique tastes of New Orleans.  James’ love of Mediterranean cuisine derives from his many years travelling Europe, opening restaurants and learning from the local chefs.  Most recently he was head chef of a successful Spanish Tapas restaurant.

Uncle Monty’s is a dark or ghost kitchen, a new concept that developed during lockdown.  Uncle Monty’s  is a delivery-only, non-public facing gourmet kitchen.  Having no costly high street presence enables restaurant quality dishes to be delivered at an affordable price.  The founders, all of a certain age, go by the moniker ‘The Gnarly Chefs’, who attended the same school and are proud to call themselves Old Xavarians.
