It might just be a simple sausage in a sliced bun but it hits the spot every time. A portion of Chicken Wings deep-fried or grilled, their skins retain natural moisture to create juicy, succulent, flavoursome mouthfuls? In South Africa, the hot dog is called a Boerie Roll (Afrikaans for Farmer's Roll) or Boerewors Roll (slang for Farmer's Sausage Roll), where the sausage is covered in Tomato Sauce (posh for ketchup) or a home-made tomato and onion relish. In Japanese Cuisine there are Miniature Hot Dogs and dogs served in bento boxes as Hot Dog Sushi – they can even be sliced to resemble an octopus (hot puss rather than hot dog).
