Salted Cod, Grilled Sardines, Garlic Prawns – if you love fish, you’ll love Portuguese cuisine. In Europe, only Icelanders eat more fish than the Portuguese and they are amongst the world’s biggest consumers of seafood.

Portuguese menus are swimming with de-lish fish dishes. Especially dishes featuring Cod (Bacalhau). The Portuguese say they have 365 ways of cooking cod, a different dish for every day of the year. Even if they don’t, it always tastes delicious. Sardines are also very popular. So is Octopus, Squid, Crab and Shrimp. But it’s not all fish, of course. Spicy Chouriço sausages have many fans, too. And whether you call them Portuguese Egg Tarts or Custard Tarts, the tarts the Portuguese call Pastéis de Nata are probably the best Egg or Custard tarts in the world. And you don't need to navigate the Seven Seas – just the Just Eat app.
