Gimbap

Korean Cuisine offers lots of light, healthy, vegetable and rice-filled dishes made with mouthwatering meat and clever use of seafood. Gimbap (aka Seaweed Rice Rolls) look a lot like Sushi rolls. They’re basically made of Gim (aka a Sheet of Dried Seaweed) and Bap (aka Rice). Geddit? Gim + Bap? Bibimbap

Another Korean classic is Bibimbap – sometimes written as Bi Bim Bap and sometimes as Bi Bim Bop. Bap? Bop? Either way it’s is a hip-hop Korean White Rice Bowl packed with de-lish ingredients like sliced beefsteak, sautéed spinach and carrots, plus toasted sesame seeds, Soy Sauce, Doenjang (fermented bean paste) and Gochujang (spicy red chilli paste). Finally, a fried (or raw) egg sits on top of this hot dish, before it’s all stirred together thoroughly.
