Order Bangladeshi delivery and takeaway online in Stratford

Fish Kofta Masala, Vegetable Biryani, Prawn Khichuri, Ilish Pulau, Rohi Bhuna – Bangladeshi cuisine is full of surprises. The first surprise for many is that they’ve enjoyed Bangladeshi food without realising it. Because many Indian restaurants are run by Bangladeshis. But if you know your Bhaji from your Bhorta, you’ll know that Bangladeshi dishes are quite distinct.

Bangladesh is the land of rice and fish, so expect lots of wonderful variations featuring fabulous fish like Hilsa which is regarded as ‘The King of Fish’, so feel free to salute it. Dishes to look out for include Bhuna Khichuri (a rich rice and lentil porridge), Chicken Roast (chicken in a rich onion gravy), Bhortas (Bengali mashed potato & aubergine & veg dishes) and Daler Bora (amazingly moreish crispy lentil fritters).

Bangladeshi food is also surprisingly good for vegetarians. And it should come as no surprise that the easiest way to get to taste all this lovely stuff is to order a takeaway through the Just Eat app.
