Real English Food. Delivered Real Quick.
Shepherds Pie, Bangers & Mash, Fish & Chips, Steak & Kidney Pie, Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pudding, Cornish Pasty - sometimes only a classic English dish hits the spot when you’re pondering your Just Eat order. English food is hearty and filling. Classic comfort food with hundreds of years of tradition behind it and a whole lot of excited appetites looking forward to it. Many of our homegrown faves have humble beginnings but have grown rapidly in popularity to become world-famous dishes that capture the imagination. Fish and Chips always brings a taste of the seaside. Shepherd’s Pie always warms up cold, rainy days. And Sunday wouldn’t be Sunday without Sunday Roast. These days you can find English dishes cherished on menus around the globe. But we recommend you find them from somewhere near you via Just Eat.

Kedgeree
Thinking English, but open to inspiration from a bit further North? Well, instead of having your eggs fried, poached or scrambled what about having them hard-boiled with rice, moist flakes of smoked haddock, fresh parsley and curry powder? Kedgeree is a Victorian Scottish recipe, which was brought over from India and (just putting it out there) is supposedly an excellent hangover cure. Speaking of Scotland, Scottish Porridge is one of the bonniest breakfasts on the Just Eat app. Just decide whether you want your porridge all-water, all-milk or half-half. Either way, the healthy and nutritious Rolled Scots Oats have slow-release carbohydrates (combined with quick-release delivery bikes) to keep you feeling satisfied till lunchtime.

Continental Breakfast
Now, you might be thinking English Breakfast, but maybe your partner wants something a little lighter? Look to the Continental Breakfast – they know how to create brekkie with a touch of 'je ne sais Croissant' (and Just Eat knows how to deliver it). The French Croque-Monsieur, for example, is a swanky Ham & Cheese Toastie (called Tost in Italy and Tosti in Holland) that oozes cheesiness (and hamminess). ‘Croque’ means bite – and a Croque-Madame is the same toastie, but with a Poached or Fried Egg on top. (Oeuf!) Spanish Churros are like long, deep-fried doughnuts and are eminently dippable into a cup of thick hot chocolate (you’ll be buzzing more than your alarm call). Danish Pastries are another iconic breakfast treat, and Belgian Waffles (made with yeast, in deeper waffle irons, to be lighter and crisper) can be a breakfast, dessert or a fun weekend snack. Toppings are limitless: melted butter, syrup, Nutella, strawberries, caramalised bananas, whipped cream…(sorry, we’re waffling)…
