Real Biryani. Delivered Real Quick.
Chicken Biryani, Lamb Biryani, King Prawn Biryani, Vegetable Biryani – who can resist a freshly-cooked Biryani? Lovely warm long-grained rice, richly flavoured with exotic spices, layered with lamb, chicken, fish or vegetables and cooked in a thick gravy. Even the description makes you salivate, doesn't it?
To most of us, it comes from India or Pakistan, but the word Biryani actually comes from the Persian word Birian which means ‘fried before cooking’.
Although, these days you can find Biryanis everywhere from South Africa to Singapore. There are Kashmiri Biryanis, Keema Biryanis, Royal Biryanis, even Vegan Biryanis out there turning-on tastebuds everywhere. You know you want one. Order a delivery now from somewhere near you, via the Just Eat app.
The whole world loves a Biryani. That’s why this dish originates from virtually every culinary corner of the globe. (But especially via the Just Eat app.) Cape Breyani, for example, is a classic Cape Malay recipe from South Africa. A fragrant dish with layers of Marinated Mutton or Lamb, Lentils, Rice & Spices topped with Hard-Boiled Eggs & Crispy Onions. It’s a one-pot, slow-cooked winner to feed large groups or for special occasions. (You got an occasion coming soon that needs to be made special?) Another famous Biryani is Sindhi Biryani, a Pakistani Dish of special Lamb, Mutton, Chicken or Goat & Rice originating from (surprise, surprise) the Sindh Province. It’s one of the most popular dishes of Pakistani Cuisine and is even served on most flights of Pakistan International Airlines. (It’s also served from the Just Eat delivery bikes.)
Indian Vegetable Biryani
Gone Vegetarian? Then you simply have to go Biryani. (And go through the Just East app, of course.) Indian Vegetable Biryani is a legendary Veggie Curry – a great one-stop, single pot crammed with authentic Indian flavours. Eat it with a Naan – and relish. A favourite go-to as a side dish is Bombay Potato (no prize for guessing place of origin). It’s an Indian Dry Dish where cubed-then-boiled-then-fried potatoes are flavoured with a real house party of spices like cumin, garlic, turmeric, mustard, chilli, salt and pepper – with onion and tomatoes gate-crashing later. Oh, and Palek Paneer makes another healthy side dish to your Biryani Main. Paneer is Indian Farmer’s Cheese cooked in a deliciously thick curry sauce based on Pureed Spinach – it’s one of India’s favourites (and Popeye’s, obvs). And the best way to get it all delivered is via one of our Just Eat delivery bikes – did you know they’re Vegetarian, too?
