The term ‘Fusion Cuisine’ sounds kind of new and exciting, doesn’t it? Weeeeeeeeell, guess what – the concept has actually been around for many centuries – in fact, from the beginnnig of Trade. (Although the best way of ordering it – through the super-high-tech Just Eat app – has only been around for a year or two.) Anyway, “the blending of culinary worlds to create new, hybrid dishes,” (as the Smithsonian Institute catchily phrases it) is here to stay. (Or to takeaway, through the app.) Take Falafel Cobb Salad for instance – an American-Mediterranean Fusion using Falafel & Feta instead of Chicken & Blue Cheese. Or Thai Chicken Spaghetti. Or Indian Pizza.
